Who are we?

ELECON – Electricity Consumption Analysis to Promote Energy Efficiency Considering Demand Response and Non-technical Losses is a EU FP7 Project, funded in the scope of the People Programme (Marie Curie Actions) of the European Union'sSeventh Framework Programme FP7, REA grant agreement No 318912 (PIRSES-GA-2012-318912).

ELECON establishes a research network between European Union (EU) and Brazilian researchers to contribute to the smart grid successful implementation. The project consortium includes 3 institutions in the EU and 4 institutions in Brazil:

IPP – Polytechynic Institute of Porto, Portugal, Project Coordinator

OVGU – Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg, Germany

INP Grenoble – Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France

UNESP – Universidade Estadual Paulista, Brazil

UFSC – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil

IF-SC – Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Santa Catarina, Brazil

USP – Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.

ELECON addresses electricity consumption analysis methods and how they may be used to promote energy efficiency. This use is focused on the design and utilization of demand response programs and on the identification of non-technical losses.

Public Electricity Consumption Data

ELECON makes electricity consumption data available whenever confidentiality and data property issues do not prevent their public use.

These data are intended to be used by researchers and other professionals working in electricity consumption related areas and requiring data for design, development, test, and validation purposes. These data should not be used for commercial purposes.

The publication of these data is being made in the scope of the IEEE Working Group (WG) on Intelligent Data Mining and Analysis (http://sites.ieee.org/psace-idma/). The public data sets are permanently available in http://sites.ieee.org/pes-iss/data-sets/.

Dissemination of this initiative is taking place so that the number and diversity of the published data sets increase over time and can be used as a valuable public resource for R&D activities. Your contribution for this initiative can be very important. Please disseminate this initiative and contact us ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) to have your data that can be made public published in this website.
